In honor of Memorial Day, Carnival Cruise Lines is offering a promotion throughout May that allows active and former military personnel to book up to three “Fun Ship” staterooms at discounted rates for themselves and their friends and family members. Reservations must be made between May 1-31, 2012, to qualify for this special offer, which is available in conjunction with a variety of three- to eight-day “Fun Ship” departures through April 30, 2014, including voyages to The Bahamas, Caribbean, Mexico and Europe.

Rates start at $299 per person for three- to five-day cruises; $334 per person for six-day departures; and $534 per person for seven- and eight-day voyages. Also included are 12-day Europe voyages starting at $949 per person. Voyages to the Caribbean, Bahamas and Mexico operate from 12 convenient year-round North American homeports along the east and west coasts and Gulf of Mexico. Europe cruises depart from Barcelona, Spain.

The promotion is valid for individual bookings only. Military personnel must provide proof of service. Eligible military personnel must sail to take advantage of this offer. 1.Girls Lacrosse, Hilton at Brockport (Thursday, 4:30 p.m.) Despite having won seven games in a row, Hilton will likely have its work cut out for them if they wish to secure consecutive win number eight on Thursday when they travel to Brockport. The Blue Devils have won four straight since their last loss on April 17, a defeat that came at the hands of the Cadets.

2.Softball, Spencerport at Greece Arcadia (Thursday, 4:30 p.m) The Spencerport and Greece Arcadia girls softball teams will take to the field on Thursday with an extra goal in mind: to continue the fight against cancer. The game marks the annual “Strikeout Cancer” event, where proceeds from the sale of pink t-shirts will be donated to the Anna’s Wish fund.

3. Baseball, Gates Chili at Hilton (Friday, 4:30 p.m.) These two teams meet for the second time this season, with this match-up taking place on Hilton’s home field. The Spartans eked out a 2-1 victory to open the league schedule back, and the Cadets will be looking to even the score coming off a shutout win of Greece Arcadia on Monday.
